Congratulations~!

You have been selected from a very prestigious group of people to participate in the official games of the UAA. Yesterday, you received a weapon tailored to your very unique personality and powers and by signing for the delivery, you have signed a contract binding you to this association and myself, your agent. Isn't that exciting?

You should feel excited, you know—pleased, even. It is not every day that I deign to bring people of your disposition here to Santa Destroy; however something about you has caught my eye. Don't be shy now! Shyness will get you nowhere in these games. You must be ready to face the dangers ahead because this is a professional sport, and I am a harsh judge.

But more about that later. The man that placed this note upon your nightstand while you were sleeping has also given you a few hundred LBs in order to get you started here in Santa Destroy. I suggest you find yourself a place to stay for now. Find a roommate to share expenses with or live on your own, it makes no difference to me. Either way, make sure you rest up! I need all of my competitors in tip-top shape so they can perform their best.

You will be receiving an email from my assistant shortly with more information.

Take care now! ♥

The sun outside is shining bright. The air is hot and dry. A ceiling fan whirs quietly above you. Welcome to Santa Destroy, California. The year is 2013, and the room you woke up in just seems to be a shabby motel room. The air conditioning only sort of works and the windows seem to be stuck.

The room has little in it. A full-sized bed (don't ask about the stains on the sheets), an empty wardrobe (it smells like mothballs), an end table and a desk. On the end table is a communicator, a letter and an envelope of cash. The money isn't even enough to pay a night in the motel, let alone eat, too. On the desk is a box with a number stenciled on the cardboard. Remember it; it's your rank.

If you check the DS, instructions on how to find a job, register for a ranked fight, and find your way around town have been emailed to you. By noon, the owner of the motel will be knocking on your door to evict you. Unless you find friends fast, you're on your own in this city. And Santa Destroy is not a city you want to be on your own in.
